Want to have a taste of Turkey, especially North Aegean?

 

During The Olive Oil Workshop 101, which is conducted by our founder Dr. Dilşen Oktay Ertem, you will learn how to smell and taste in order to discover the incredible flavors of some of the finest Turkish Olive Oils.

 

Dr. Ertem will teach basic information about olive oil and you will be participating in a sensory analysis procedure which is used by professionals to categorize olive oil, that will help you understand the true meaning of the terms such as ‘fruity’, ‘bitter’ and ‘spicy’. At the end of this course, you will be able to recognize a defective olive oil from a good one.

 

Immediately after your registration, we will send you 5 sample bottles and worksheets.

 

In our workshop, we will work on three topics:

 

The history of olive oil

 

The journey of the olives

 

What to consider when choosing and consuming olive oil.

 

At the end of the first hour, we will have a small break of 10 minutes. We will then move on to the final topic; sensory analysis.

 

 

400 TL. per person, single fee is charged for double (paired) participation.

 

The number of participants will be limited to 20.
